Adele delights fans by returning to Instagram with surprise birthday post
The singer lit up the web Wednesday morning by sharing an image to mark her 32nd birthday.
The "Hello" hitmaker, who has not posted on the social media platform since December, stood beaming within the loop of an enormous floral wreath.
Wearing a black mini dress with billowing sleeves, she wore her blonde hair down and completed the design with black heels.
"Thank you for the birthday love. I hope you're all staying safe and sane during this crazy time," the mother-of-one told her 33.7 million followers.
The British star then took the chance to praise the work of front-line health care staff during the coronavirus pandemic.
"I'd wish to thank all of our first responders and essential workers who are keeping us safe while risking their lives! you're truly our angels," she wrote within the picture caption.
The singer was noticeably thinner and therefore the transformation is pretty dramatic.
Adele was soon inundated with praise and messages of support from fans and fellow celebrities, with Sports Illustrated model Chrissy Teigen writing: "I mean are you kidding me."
Rita Wilson, who went into self-quarantine together with her husband Hanks while the pair were in Australia in March, commented on the post, writing: "Happy Birthday, Adele. Sending you such a lot love! Looking gorgeous!"
Last year Adele embraced self love while celebrating her birthday and wrote thereon Instagram "30 tried me so hard but I'm owning it and trying my hardest to lean in thereto all."
She may are referencing her breakup together with her husband thereupon post. Last year she announced that she and Simon Konecki had split after three years of marriage.
The singer and Konecki share one son together, Angelo, who was born in 2012.
Adele is understood for keeping her private life faraway from the public's gaze. While indirectly addressing her weight loss, she wrote in her an Instagram post in October last year: "I wont to cry but now I sweat."
